Mess with Compress(ion)

 

In this example we will show you how to use a single loop in an unusual way.

The idea is to duplicate a loop (in this case a beat), and then add some heavy compression to the copied loop. In the example below you can see how the original loop plays once, then both loops are being triggered at the same time. At last the compressed loop is being triggered without the original loop playing.

The difference is obvious, and the idea don´t limit to using just compression. Try it out with several different effects, and with multiple effects. Anything goes !
