You don´t have to be a member with a login password to purchase TheLoopBox.com products. However, we do need a valid e-mail address, since the loops you are buying will be sent to you as unique and personal download links. Each link can be used 3 times and is valid for 30 days.

We also care a lot about the many creative possibilities present when working with loops. That´s why we have a Tips & Tricks section offering inspiration that will release the creative juices.

Here you will find plenty of useful inspiration and ideas about working with music, and particularly loops, in a software based environment. This section also contains tips and tricks about other issues than just loops and samples. There´s some nice articles about hardware processors, such as compressors and EQ´s as well. New material will be added as often as possible, so please make sure to visit this section every once in a while.

History

In the good old "AKAI" days the only way to work legally with samples and loops was to buy sample CD´s / CD-ROM´s, clear commercial recordings (for lots of $$$), or to record your own samples. These CD´s were very expensive; costing up to hundreds of dollars, particularly if it was CD-ROM´s offering AKAI or E-MU formats.

If you decided to go for the cheaper audio version, a lot of work had to be done. The loops had to be cut, truncated, normalized, assigned etc. manually; a rather time-consuming task that could easily kill the creative process.

This is exactly why we provide program files for some of the most popular soft samplers on the market; you just load the file, and start messing around. Simple and easy!

If you don´t have access to one of the supported soft samplers it´s not a problem. You can always import the raw audio files (.wav format) into your audio software and work from there. Even if you do it like this it´s much easier than the "Audio Sample CD" way. Every loop is pre-cut to loop perfectly, so all you have to remember is to set the tempo of your host sequencer to match the loops.

Conclusion

We want to be the flexible alternative to the massive ROMplers of today. These typically offer good value for money with several gigabytes of data. However, many find themselves using only a fraction of the material included.

Since we support the most popular soft samplers available you pretty much get the advantages of the ROMplers, but only containing the exact parts that you want. You can preview all the mp3 demos for free, and buy only the products that you like the most.
